WHITE RIBBON NGHT EVENT IN MINTO 27JULY 2016
Posted: Sun, Jul 31st, 2016
Date: Wed, Jul 27th, 2016
Location: 4 Surry Street Minto NSW
Afghan Fajar Association Incorporated (AFAIC) is proud to support the White Ribbon event last night in Minto saying No to Domestic Violence - A serious topic that was discussed through life experiences by several members of the community who shared their personal stories of struggles.
DV is a prevalent issue within many communities. It affects 1/4 Australian women. Last night was a testimony to the gravity of this issue and more needs to be done. It was discussed that inter-generational gaps in cultural organisation pose a lack of understanding of domestic violence and certainly an area that AFAIC looks to work with other organisations.
Thanks a lot to those who shared their stories. It educate the community to stop of being violent and raises awareness.
I would like to thank all participants for showing support the White Ribbon event.
