Volunteers

AFAIC promotes and supports volunteering as a vital part of the local community. Volunteering at AFAIC provides individuals the opportunity to contribute to supporting cultural, educational and community services to those seeking assistance. In most cases you will need to have completed a Working with Children Check (WWC) and have a current WWC number.

What do our volunteers do?

AFAIC volunteers help in a variety of programs. Volunteer roles include:

• Helping with group activities
• Tutoring young people
• Teaching Dari Language
• Providing clerical assistance
• Supporting Youth Workers
• Supervising young people during events and projects
• Supporting cultural events
