Swim2Survive and WeReform Anti-Bullying project 2017
Posted: Sat, Jan 21st, 2017
Date: Mon, Jan 09th, 2017
Location: Macquarie Fields Swimming Centre
Afghan Fajar Association Inc. AFAIC,
would like to thank all fantastic partners
such us Macquarie Field Police LAC, Mission
Australia, West Tigers, SWMACC, Youth of the Streets, and of course all the participants who each
took a part in making the Swim2Survive and Anti- Bullying Project go forth
successfully with lots of cheering.
In the past week, AFAIC had the pleasure of running the annual Swim2Survive and WeReform Anti-Bullying project. We are proud to say that we had more than 50 kids and young adults trained in how to swim and basic water safety skills. On average, the participants are now 85% more likely to go for a swim than they were when they started the program. WeReform Anti-Bullying created a great opportunity for people from many different cultures and backgrounds to gather, and participate in numerous workshops to broaden their understanding on how bullying such as cyber bullying should be dealt with in our day to day lives. AFAIC is all about real change in the community. If you missed out this time take note. We have some exciting new projects coming your way! If you want to volunteer or help in any way, contact us at info@afaic.org.au https://www.facebook.com/afaic1/ |
