AFAIC was able to arrange a coach to take an enthusiastic group – both young and older – to the ICC Bangladesh Vs Afghan Cricket Matched held in Canberra on 18 February. There was enthusiastic barracking for our team by all present – the presence of our youth gave a special energy to the event. Besides enjoying the match it was a fantastic opportunity to meet with members of our communities from across Australia. We were honoured to be able to speak with His Excellency Mr Nasir Ahmad Andisha, Ambassador to Australia New Zealand &Fiji who gave generously of his time. While we all travelled many kilometres on the day it was all worth it to meet together in Canberra to share the experience of sportsmanship and community.
